Singer Jacob Lewis from Butlerville, Newfoundland and Labrador, received the Golden Buzzer from country music legend Shania Twain during the 2025 season of Canada’s Got Talent. In Twain’s first season as a judge on the show, this was a significant event.

Lewis advanced directly to the semifinals after Twain, who saw his sincerity and emotional depth, hit the Golden Buzzer. A $25,000 payment from sponsor CIBC was also included in this win, which will greatly expand his musical goals. ​
