Over the years, countless “spooky” images have circulated on the internet, from alleged Bigfoot sightings to ghostly apparitions. However, many of these images are easily explained as camera blurs or Photoshop tricks. That said, some photos seem to defy logic.

In 2019, runner Kay Borleis participated in the Hawaiian Ultra Running Team’s 100-mile endurance race through a dense rainforest. Her friend, Cassie, who was pacing her, took a photo during the run. When Kay examined the photo later, she noticed a dark, ragged figure standing in the bushes beside her. Kay confirmed that no one else was present at the time and insisted the image wasn’t altered.

Kay mentioned that Hawaiian legends speak of “Night Marchers,” the spirits of ancient warriors who haunt the island. According to legend, anyone who sees them will meet a violent end unless they show proper respect. Fortunately, Kay and Cassie didn’t encounter any Night Marchers during their run.
