Police say 23-year-old Robin Westman was the gunman behind Wednesday’s deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Two children were killed and 17 others injured after Westman opened fire through church windows during a school Mass.
Hours before the attack, Westman posted disturbing videos online showing weapons, ammunition, and a manifesto apologizing to family and friends while expressing hate and violent thoughts. Court records show Westman previously changed their name and struggled with identity issues.
Police confirmed Westman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. Investigators found no prior criminal record but are treating the case as domestic terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics.
Mourners gathered at a vigil as officials, including President Trump and Governor Tim Walz, condemned the attack and offered prayers for the victims.
