Trump’s Approval Rating Shifts as New Poll Reflects Changing Public Opinion

A new round of polling data released this week offers a clearer picture of how Americans feel about President Donald Trump, nearly half a year into his second term. The figures show a slight decline in approval compared to earlier in the year, suggesting that public opinion is shifting as his administration progresses.

According to a recent survey conducted by Emerson College Polling, 45 percent of respondents said they approve of the way Trump is handling his role as president. Meanwhile, 46 percent said they disapprove, and the remaining 9 percent remained undecided or neutral.

While these numbers show a near-even split in opinion, they mark a noticeable dip from a January poll that placed Trump’s approval rating at 49 percent.
