Global reactions followed after Donald Trump announced that the U.S.
carried out strikes on three Iranian nuclear-related sites, including Fordo,
calling the operation a success and urging Iran to end hostilities.
The announcement quickly reshaped diplomatic discussions worldwide.
Iran condemned the action. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the
strikes unlawful and warned Iran would consider “all options,”
saying the facilities were part of its civilian nuclear program and cautioning of lasting consequences.
Responses were sharply divided. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the strikes as a turning point,
while China criticized them as a violation of the UN Charter.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed grave concern,
warning escalation could lead to a wider global crisis and stressing diplomacy as the only solution.
The European Union urged renewed negotiations,
and countries across the Middle East and beyond called for restraint,
emphasizing dialogue to prevent broader conflict.
