Thursday afternoon turned into a tragedy for a man whose identity has not yet been revealed by the authorities. Around 5:30 PM, he got out of his truck in an apparently quiet area, unaware that he was about to face his fatal destiny.
Witnesses claim that the man, approximately 40 years old, parked his vehicle in front of a small local business in the Santa Elena neighborhood. He had barely taken a few steps after getting out when he was surprised by two individuals on a motorcycle, who opened fire on him without saying a word.
The gunshots caused panic among neighbors and passersby. “It all happened very quickly; we only heard the shots and then saw the man fall,” recounted a woman who witnessed the events from inside her store.
Paramedics arrived at the scene minutes later, but there was nothing they could do: the man had died instantly from multiple gunshot wounds.
The police cordoned off the area and began the necessary investigations. Although the motive for the attack has not been confirmed, initial lines of inquiry suggest a possible settling of scores. Nearby security cameras are already being reviewed to identify those responsible.
The community, shocked, demands justice. Once again, violence strikes during an ordinary moment, reminding us that, in certain streets, death can lurk when least expected.
