When I was seventeen, my father and I had a falling out that changed everything. My dad was a strict man who believed in discipline and doing things his way. When I shared some personal news with him, hoping for support, he turned away from me completely. From that moment, I was on my own, forced to build a life for myself and the child I would raise without his help.

Life was incredibly hard, but I managed to create a home filled with love and perseverance. My son, Liam, grew up watching me work multiple jobs to keep us afloat. He inherited my determination and by his teenage years, he was already working at a local repair shop, saving to one day open his own business. On Liam’s 18th birthday, he surprised me by saying he wanted to meet his grandfather. We drove to the house I hadn’t seen in nearly two decades.
