The Long-Distance Love Story It all started last summer when I got involved in a work project in another city.

It all started last summer when I got involved in a work project in another city. It was a new and unfamiliar adventure for me, but what I didn’t expect to find was something that happened a few weeks later.

One day, during a typical lunch with my colleagues, I noticed a guy I didn’t know, sitting with a different group. His eyes were deep and calm, and when he saw me, he gave me a warm smile. He came up to me and said, “Sorry, you look like you’re not from here. Would you like to join me for a coffee?”

It was a spontaneous and genuine invitation. After that first coffee, I felt like I had met someone who truly understood me, someone who spoke about his dreams and passions with unbelievable enthusiasm. I had the feeling that I had known him for years, and I felt completely at ease.

After a few heartfelt meetings, he told me that he would have to go back to his hometown, which was far away, because of work. I wasn’t sure how we’d manage, but I didn’t want to give up on him. I knew this was a chance I had to take, even though distance would be a challenge.

We began talking every day, using the phone and video calls to keep the connection alive. The days passed quickly, but I always eagerly awaited the moments when we would talk. Every message, every phone call, made my heart beat faster.

Even though physical distance was a barrier, it made us feel closer emotionally. We spoke about everything—our dreams, our fears, our passions, and what we hoped for the future. I realized that our bond was stronger than any distance that could separate us.

For several months, I felt like I was living two lives: one where I was in my city, and another where I was with him. We were both committed to our future, even though I was in one city and he was in another.

What happened next was a feeling I can’t quite put into words. We both decided to make a plan, and after several months, he finally came to visit me. And just as I had hoped, when we met, I felt as if no time had passed since the first moment we met.

This is our long-distance love story. What kept us together was trust and commitment to each other. While distance was a challenge, it showed us that true love has no boundaries. Every day apart only brought us closer, and we know that this love story will continue for many more years to come.
