Hollywood vs. Trump: De Niro Doubles Down as Celebrities Take Sides
The long-running feud between Robert De Niro and Donald Trump is heating up again—this time with more public jabs and higher political stakes.
At 80 years old, De Niro remains one of Trump’s loudest critics. Since the former president’s first campaign in 2016, the Oscar-winning actor hasn’t held back—calling Trump “nuts,” “a wannabe gangster,” and even “a real racist,” going so far as to compare him to Hitler.
Trump, never one to stay silent when challenged, has fired back over the years—labeling De Niro “brain damaged” and “a total loser.”
Now, as Trump returns to the campaign trail while facing multiple legal battles, the feud has reached a new level. Earlier this week, De Niro urged Americans not to vote for Trump during a guest appearance on The View. Shortly after, he was seen speaking outside Manhattan Criminal Court, where Trump’s highly publicized hush money trial is nearing its conclusion.
The case centers around alleged falsified business records to cover a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, who claims she had an affair with Trump in 2006. Trump has denied the affair and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
As election season ramps up, more celebrities are stepping in—with opinions, outrage, and endorsements—turning the De Niro–Trump feud into a flashpoint in Hollywood’s political divide.
