Simon Cowell shares his 11-year-old son with his fiancée Lauren Silverman
The 65-year-old music mogul has delighted fans with a sweet new photo of his son Eric – and everyone has been saying the same thing.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge shares the 11-year-old with his fiancée, 48-year-old socialite and entrepreneur Lauren Silverman.
Eric often appears on his dad’s social media accounts in adorable family pictures taken on dog walks, holidays, and now behind the scenes while filming America’s Got Talent.
For people not in the loop, Simon is also a judge on the US version of the talent show and the semi-finals are taking place this weekend.
And it looks like it was bring your child to work day as the music mogul took his youngster along for the filming – and even had him donning an AGT-branded T-shirt.
In the picture shared to Instagram on 28 August, Simon seemed to be in high spirits as he sat on a chair with his dog, Daisy, in a bed on his lap.
In the meantime, Eric is standing behind him donning the blue merchandise, with a big smile on his face for the heartwarming snap.
Additionally, Simon posted a video of the America’s Got Talent crowd and another photo of him filming the TV show backstage, alongside the caption: “Everyone’s happy.”
Yet, there was one detail in the picture with Eric that fans simply could not get over – how much the 11-year-old has grown and how much he looks like his dad.
Previous X-Factor winner and singer Sam Bailey wrote in the comments section: “Hey Simon!!!! Eric is the image of you. Wow he’s so grown up!!! Lovely to see xx.”
And a sh0cked fan quipped: “Oh my goodness I remember when he was born. Cant believe how big he is. Handsome like his dad!”
While a third agreed: “That couldn’t be Eric. I feel soooooooo old now.”
Noticing similarities between the dad and son, another chimed in with: “Omg your mini me.”
Someone else commented: “How beautiful Eric is the copy of your face dear Simon! I love you so much you guys are so cute!!!!”
In the meantime, one social media user joked: “Eric will be replacing you on the panel before long!”
Simon and Lauren welcomed Eric on 14 February 2014, and throughout his younger years, he was mainly hidden from the spotlight.
Still, as he’s gotten older, fans have been getting glimpses of him much more frequently, hence why people have noticed the seemingly sudden change.
In an interview with Hello! Magazine last year, Simon talked about the emotional moment he became a dad.
He told the publication: “20 years ago, I would have said I didn’t think I was going to have kids because I thought I was too old. So when I got the news I was going to be a dad – and the first time I saw his scan – I was literally obsessed.
“Something changed and I looked at life in a completely different way. Every decision I make now I am thinking about Eric. Is it the right decision for him?”
