Trump dubbed a ‘disgrace to humanity’ after latest comment about ICE shooting victim Renee Nicole Good

The shooting of Renee Nicole Good has sent shockwaves across the United States.

And new statements from President Trump have only intensified the situation.

A fatal shooting involving an ICE agent in Minneapolis has sent shockwaves across the country, igniting fury, protests, and a fierce political firestorm. As disturbing footage from the incident spreads rapidly across social media, reactions have been swift — and deeply divided.

The shooting occurred Wednesday morning, January 7, when federal immigration officers were conducting operations in Minneapolis. Video circulating online appears to show an ICE agent attempting to open the door of a woman’s vehicle as she tries to drive away. Moments later, a second officer fires his weapon.

The car can then be seen rolling forward before crashing into a parked vehicle.

‘She was an amazing human being’

The woman was later identified by her mother as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, she was killed just a few blocks from her home.

Renee’s mother, Donna Ganger, told the Star Tribune that her daughter lived in the Twin Cities with her partner and that the family was notified of her death late Wednesday morning.

“That’s so stupid” that she was killed, Ganger said after learning some of the circumstances from a reporter. “She was probably terrified.”

Ganger stressed that her daughter had no involvement in anti-ICE protests.

“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” she said. “She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”

Political leaders react: “Public Murder”

As the footage continued to circulate, condemnation poured in from Democratic lawmakers.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez described the killing as a “public murder.”

“What we saw today was a criminal murder a woman and shoot her in the head while she was trying to escape and flee for her life,” she said, calling it the “manifestation of every American’s worst nightmare.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey delivered an emotional and furious response during a press conference shortly after the shooting.

“There’s little I can say, again, that’ll make this situation better,” Frey said. “But I do have a message for our community, for our city, and I have a message for ICE.”

“To ICE, get the f— out of Minneapolis,” he raged.
